POLLi Presents at ROW14 in Vancouver

Adam Baker, PhD, research entomologist at Davey Tree, and Greg Emerick, founder of POLLi, were able to present the findings of the study the teams had been working on over the course of the last year, and the corresponding published article, Comparing Machine Learning Using UAVs to Ground Survey Methods to Quantify Milkweed Stem Density and Habitat Characteristics in ROWs.

The International Symposium on Environmental Concerns in Rights-of-Way (ROW) Management is the premier global, research-based conference dedicated to addressing the environmental impacts associated with linear infrastructure corridors. This includes electric and telecom utility lines, gas and oil pipelines, highways, and railways. Being able to present on how drones and corresponding platforms, like POLLi, can benefit the ROW community is great opportunity.
